DAVID BOWIE & TIN MACHINE 'NEW YORK & PARIS BROADCASTS' 2 CD
The shows presented here come from both Tin Machine tours.
The performance at La Cigalle, Paris, on June the 25th 1989 is an introduction to the brand new band. Broadcast in the US on the Westwood One network and introduced by Bowie, it captures the excitement that he felt about Tin Machine and the creative energy around the project.
The gig at the New York Academy of Music on the November 29, 1991, forms a more complete record of what Tin Machine were about. Broadcast during the US leg of It s My Life tour, it features a full selection from Tin Machine and Tin Machine II and showcases what an exceptional live band they were. For many, these recordings will provoke a sense of regret that Bowie didn t continue the journey a little longer.
